Cheryl & Amanda - Family Time

Any one of my clients could tell you that my whole aim of any photography session is that you walk away enjoying the experience.  My sessions are kept loose and fun, with lots of laughter, talking, smiles and enjoyable moments.  I sincerely believe that when you look back at the final images I create, that you shouldn't see a mug shot capturing only the way you looked.  The way I shoot a session allows you to look back at the final image and see a memory, see the way your family enjoyed an afternoon, the way you really laughed and smiled, the affection you truly hold for each other inside.   With our busy lives these days, it's easy to forget that and harder to capture the memories that show it.

So, when I do a shoot, I encourage my families to pick a setting in which they'll be comfortable, wear clothes that are "them", and then it's all fun from there on out.

I recently had the joy of shooting for Cheryl and Amanda as a Father's Day gift while Dad is deployed.  We enjoyed a fun session at Jennings Memorial Park in Marysville, Washington with definitely no shortage of laughs.  One of my most entertaining shoots to date, it was filled with everything from truly beautifully sentamental moments to hilarious moments that perfectly captured the relationship between mom and daughter.  The best way to some it up, is that when we left my sides ached from laughing, and I couldn't wait to visit my own mom!  This was one of those shoots that truly inspire me as a photographer...
